Toddler not sleeping

Posted by Joy on March 13, 2000 at 11:17:21:

My son, soon to be 2, still does not sleep through the night. The last 2 weeks he wakes up after 1 1/2 - 2 hours after being put to bed very upset. Moves around alot, from bed to floor. Different positions, stomach to back to fetal, He is upset for a few minutes calms down for about a minute and then starts up again - this lasts for about 1-2 hours. I am very worried that this he is having a physical pain. Don't know what else to do. Been to the doctor and they believe that he just needs to fall asleep on his own, so they suggest the Ferber method. I have tried this at least 4 times with no success. Please help!!
