sleep apnea related to ADD?

Posted by jill on April 20, 2001 at 13:46:22:

I have an 8 year old daughter that is having problems in school. After 2 years of working with special education teachers, we are now to the point of testing for ADD. I watched the program "48 Hours" that had a segment on sleep disorders and a possible relation with children and sleep apnea. Am I wrong to assume this is ADD or should I look into a possible sleeping disorder? I am not sure what to do?
