no more pacifier

Posted by Jennifer Sheplak on May 03, 2001 at 18:33:22:

I have a 20 month old son. My husband and I decided to stop his use of his pacifier because of rash on upper lip caused by it that would not go away. It has been one week and he still cries severely every night for it. It has gotten to the point were he wants to hold my hand to fall asleep. Around 2-3am though he wakes up and cries again until I hold his hand so he can fall asleep and sometimes more often then that. Has anyone had a common problem or some good advise? I am willing to try anything right about now.
