I too have fought hard for my children and their sleep problem. I also believe deeply that we mothers know our children and know when something is wrong. I have fought doctors, been treated as if I were overreacting, paranoid and sometimes, just plain stupid. I have checked out sleep medicine text books and emailed many sleep docs looking for answers. I think i have figured out all the why's but I'm now stil working on the "what to do about it" stuff. and yes I am pretty alone in the matter b/c no doc near me understands this sleep stuff. The sleep doc gave us a possible diagnosis of upper airway resistance syndrome then did nothing about it. Through my research I found that this IS the diagnosis and since I have been treating the swelling in the airway (sinusitis, rhinitis, allergy) he is tremendously improved. My daughter started doing all of the same symptoms and then docs really thought I was crazy. Anyway, I'm rambling. I said a prayer for your daughter, I don't know her name, but God does. Monica
