neurologists, pulmonologist and psychiatrists primarily do sleep studies, but you need to get one of these who specialize in sleep. Most neurologists don't do and interpret sleep studies. You have to go to a sleep clinic which I strongly suggest you do. A sleep study is an all night long eeg, with respiratory monitors as well as a few other things (ekg) that help detect common sleep abnormalities. Sleep medicine is a new field but they have really found out there is a whole new world of problems in that dept. If you really have a problem, chances are there is something causing it. please get help and let me know what happens. If you want to email me, feel free, I have learned of many things to look f0r and things you can do. My child suffered terribly for way too long. don't do the same to your child.
