My child has had enlarged tonsils & adnoids from birth and consequently has sleep apnea. He has CAPD and therefore spoke late and has reading problems and also wets the bed. The school SUGGESTED medication but, I was opposed. I recently had his tonsils & adnoids removed and he has been able to wake up and use the bathroom for the first time. His personality is much sweeter and he is not sleepy all the time. I do need to follow up on the sleep apnea as it didn't cure it altogether but, is a great improvement. I think it is a first step of curing his problems completely and do not think medication is the answer.
