My daughter is 4 1/2. We had a similar situation and dealt with it in a few ways with minimal results. Then I tried a process that really worked great! Our daughter loves to read. So I hung up a calendar at the beginning of a month and told her that everytime she slept through the night in her own bed she would get a sticker to place on the calendar. And after she got 10 stickers on the calendar she would get a brand new book. She started slowly but later in the month she really got motivated. I thought we'd just keep this up and give a new book after every 10 successes but we did not need to. She has done fairly well for a few months now. Good luck.
