insomnia in my 2 year old

Posted by Worried Mom on February 01, 2002 at 11:34:16:

It's heart broken to see insomnia in my 2 year old daughter. 4 weeks ago, she got scared by a clown show. She woke up that night sevel times and cried. Ever after that night, she deleloped insomnia problem. Every night, she goes to bed at 8:30 and briefly sleeps for about 2 hours and wakes up. Then, it takes her 2-3 or even more hours to fall back to sleep again. Last night is the worst, she woke up at 12, and didn't go back to sleep till 4 am. She told me she wants to sleep, but she is unable to. This happens regardless if she is sleeping in her own room, or in my room, or even on my bed, in my arms. She is too young to tell what is wrong, but I believe there is something not right in her mind. Someone please help!!!
