4 year old sleepwalking

Posted by Ineedhelp on May 21, 2002 at 15:12:07:

I have read several of the other posts pertaining to sleepwalking but i still need some answers. My problem is that my four year old is sleepwalking and or having night terrors. It only happens when he is in his own bed and about everynight, he wakes up crying sometimes he says his legs hurt or that he cant do it (im not sure what he means he wont/cant tell me)sometimes when he wakes up i take him to the bathroom he goes and then i have to sit with him in his bed to get him calmed down enough to fall back to sleep. Sometimes it happens twice a night. Is their a way to help him myself or do i have to seek a professional? I would like any answers or input pleasse i want a full night of restfull sleep for me and my son!
