Yes, he does take a nap during the day. It is usually between 45 minutes to 3 hours- depending on how much we have done the day before. He falls asleep at around 9pm (we let him since he was born, so he could spend some time with Daddy after he got home from work) and gets up around 8-9am.
The weird thing is, he is no different on the days after his nighttime episodes as when he does have them. He is very happy (albiet all of the terrible 2's), well adjusted. Plays the same, talks the same, acts the same, eats the same. You would never know the difference, if you didn't have to get up with him.
That is why we are so puzzled. We don't know what else we can do.
