Posted by concernedparents on June 02, 2002 at 15:26:09:Our 2-year-old is our first. Like many new parents, we were "wimps" about getting her to go to sleep by herself. She was in our bed too much at first, but we got her to sleep in her own bed about 6 months ago. These days, she's a pretty good sleeper and awakes only about once at night, falling back to sleep readily with a little cuddling. However, there's one problem she's never shaken: she cries when she wakes up in the morning and after naps. There never seems to be a reasonable explanation for this. The crying sometimes lasts about 30 minutes. Needless to say, it drives us nuts. Aside from her sleep issues, she's a very happy and well-adjusted 2-year-old.
Has anybody else experienced this? Any pointers?
