Um....I gave myself a totaly phobia of sharks when I was young. Yes, I did it to myself, over time, so now I have trouble in the public pool. How kooked is that?!
Anyway, the point is, that at sometime she will have to sleep in her own bed/room. As well, you and your husband need your own time too.
I would suggest using behaviour modification therapy to help her conquer her fears and gain some sleep skills.... Try posting at the medHelp international site on the 'child behavioural health' forum. It's hard to get a question in (early morning is best), but they're answered by a doctor who can a)advise whether he feels there may be some sort of disorder and b)give good advice on what to do and where to look for resources.
This sounds fairly normal, actually, she just may be unable to overcome this without specific support. good luck :)
