Thanks very much for your reply.
Other than allergies, he is absolutely normal in all respects that anyone could even list. Rarely gets sick, sleeps deeply for 9-10 hours, wakes refreshed and has normal activity/energy levels thoughout the day.
He did mention that he was tired the two days following each night's episode.
He is not overly emotional, nor does he upset easily. He is the older brother, and I think with that comes a little more confidence, and sometimes arrogance. He hates being in trouble so he is generally a very well behaved 7 y.o., but of course that occassionally lapses when he's within a couple feet of his sister.
One thing that struck me as odd was that he was not scared at all by what he was describing. Sent chills down by my spine, but he was only annoyed by his sleep disturbance, not scared at all. So I couldn't say that he was awake and terrified of anything.
No ADD type symptoms at all.
Last night was a little cooler in the house and I did move the fan up on his desk so that more air would get to him up top. He slept like a rock without so much as a cough.
I'd be willing to bet that he was just really uncomfortable sleeping. Of course that means that mom and I completely over-reacted but that's better than letting things slip. Since he has allergies and often has sinus congestion at night, I'll certainly be more cognizant of any troubles in the future, especially regarding any SDB.
Thanks again for your reply.
