Read down a bit through the forum, there's several postings on this. My son also meet the criteria for ADHD, and yes, sleep deprivation in children often causes these symptoms. (One study on childrens obstructive breathing found that 25 percent of kids, after being treated for their problems, no longer met the criteria for ADHD)

There are only a couple sleep disorders that are considered clinical (impacting health/wellness or abnormal)-especially for children. Sleep apnea/obstructive breathing is THE MAJOR recognized problem in children for this category.

You and your doctor did a great job helping your son.:)
