I won't address ur drinking or comment on your mother. I have never seen sleepwalking associated with parental drinking except in two ways: 1. drinking during pregnancy, leading to physical effects in the child that include greater incidence of sleep walking related to neurological problems. 2. Emotional disturbances - but this relates to children who are already prone to sleepwalking, where stress and other problems exacerbate or bring on an event. This is true with most sleep events like this - lack of good sleep, stress, emotional upset can trigger or bring on an event. If your drinking is very upsetting to your daughter, yes, I suspect it could trigger an event but I doubt it would cause her to START sleepwalking unless something very traumatic happened related to it.

Read information on sleepwalking; most children outgrow it, however safety is an important consideration for her while she's sleeping.
