my 1 yr old stop sleeping~

my one year old son used to sleep through the night since i brought him home from the hospital, but now he gets up bewteew 3 and 5 am and stays up. i try to keep him up as late as posible at night but he falls asleep around 8 pm.. this has disrupted our entire life. ive even quite my job do to im not getting more then a feww hours of sleep a night. someone please help
