Annie,

The only advice I can give you is, "Take your Child to your pediatrician" and explain your concern about the possibility of Apnea. Snoring can be caused by enlarged adnoids as well as tonsils, but there is an obstruction or the child would not snore.
If it were my child, I would insist that the Doctor refer us to an accredited sleep lab that specializes in childrens sleep disorders.
Anything that is obstructing your childs breathing is serious and I hope you will follow up ASAP.
