My 13 year old daughter is impossible to wake in the morning. She is completely delirious. She has missed most of the school year because I can't get her up in the morning. If I try to shake or move her she kicks at me and yells but her eyes are still closed. Has anyone else experienced this? We have a sleep study scheduled for August. We had previously tried to get through a sleep study but my daughter has severe anxiety and couldn't handle all of the wires they had to attach for the study. The doctor told me to come back in a few years when she's willing to do the test and I'm at such a complete loss. I've read so much on sleep. The only thing that sounds right is a severe case of sleep inertia. If anyone has any kind of experience with this, your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
