I'm wondering whether your daughter has been given an overnight sleep test to determine whether she has other sleeping disorders. The reason I ask is because my daughter had similar symptoms: insomnia, light sleeping, frequent waking, and acting overtired in the morning with dark circles under her eyes and skin that had a greenish tint along with her school work suffering. She also snored very loudly when she slept since infancy. It turned out that she had enlarged tonsils which were causing obstructive sleep apnea while she slept. A tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy cured her. We had trouble getting her treated because she only had six apnea episodes an hour and needed to have seven an hour to be considered having sleep apnea as an adult, but we later learned that only on episode of apnea the whole night long is enough to get a child treated. Please look into it. There might be a reason that your daughter can't sleep.
