Posted by K M on January 11, 2008 at 06:17:40:about 4 weeks ago my 6 yr old son awoke about 12.00 confused and vigorously shaking and lasted about 10mins, this happened again the following night at about 10.00 and lasted about 15mins, the shaking is more of a shiver but he is not cold at all! since the first episode this has happened about 15 times. He has seen a paediatrician, but he is reluctant to send him for an EEG just yet and would like to review him in 4 weeks time, as you can imagine this is slightly worrying. My daughter suffered from epilepsy from the age of 9 and has now been seizure free for 5 years, so are wondering whether this is related in any way. I'm hoping somebody could shed some light on this as he is now very reluctant to go to sleep and even being left on his own is becoming a huge problem.
Please some one help a very tired mum
