5yo wont go to sleep

Since he was in my tummy he has been awake late. When he was a baby he had colic and co-slept with us. I have tired every method under the sun over the years. The earliest I've ever got him to bed it 9pm. If I let him he would stay up till midnight. It's a fight every night and I'm tired. I suffer from depression and chronic pain,so it's really stressing both of us. He's just started school and he's averaging getting to sleep at 10-10.30pm at night. I don't want him to get behind in school. Just need some help urgently.
