Posted by D. H. on January 28, 2003 at 22:12:18:First, the headgear from the Ultra-Mirage keeps slipping off. I was able to remedy this by turning it upside down. Unfortuately, when you turn it upside down, the narrrow part rubs the back of your neck. Note that I define "upside down" as meaning that the label will read upside down when you sit up or stand up. The solution is to make the back of the headgear wide on top (as when you put it on upside dowm, and also wide on bottom as it would be when turned right side up. My current work-around is to place a wide pad of Molefoan between the narrow part of the headgear and the back of my neck.
Also, the Velco tends to rub. The solution here is to make the smoothe part of the velcro wider than the rough part, and/or to reverse it so that the rough part faces away from the patient's skin.
Lastly, it would be helpful to have the corners color coded or otherwise labeled as to which piece get threaded through which bracket in the mask.
