I think they mentioned a heating element or cord that was spiral-wrapped the entire length of CPAP hose to prevent condensation problems or "rainout". Not my idea, but a great idea none the less. A far-end temperature sensor might even track ambient air temperature and regulate the cord's temperature accordingly.
Whoever originated this great idea, please respond to this thread so I can tip my hat to you. You also may need to correct some of the details above.
