I started looking for a cpap back in November when mine started dying. I located one with a supplier on this site after talking to the owner. His price was less than 500.00
I then called the insurance and asked them what I could do. They said my ONLY option was to go thru a provider and my copay would be 100.00. The dme told me the arrangement(acquaintances of mine). I told the ins company how much I could save them. the lady asked whyI cared since all I had to pay was 100.00. I better understand why rates are so high.
The fraud and greed in the system can only result in ever increasing costs.
Go figure.
