That's a great suggestion. Most masks seem to have small hose fittings so a small diameter hose could be integrated into the mask hose back to a pressure sensor, with a contoling output curcuit to the pump motor. It would have to prevent over speed so the pressure doesn't go nuts due to a large leak. These leaks seem to really cause my skin to swell at the leak point so that would have to be considered.
My RemStar Plus indicates the pressure setting on the LCD disply. My questtion would be is that an actual pressure measurment or only the set point. It seems to be only a set point indication. I'll check that with the maunifacturer. I actually checked my pressure at the mask using a monometer I borrowed fron work. I simply attached a small hose to the manometer, placed the other end in the masked, and made a seal with my hand. It came out at just a hair above 5 inches of water. 5 inches converts to 12.27 cm so I'd say its pretty close to my prescribed 13 cm.
