I have the Remstar Plus with the Heated Humidifier as well. When you press the button to turn on the heat, I light comes on in the lower front right side(looking at the Humidifier)and that is how I tell that the Heater is working. The light is small but I guess it needs to be to fit into the Humidifier base.

Removing the chamber is no easy task but I find if you push down and pull it is a little easier.
My DME advised me to use Distilled Water so I don't need to clean the chamber as much.

I would also like to see the number of hours of usage per night.
