Seems to me that the engineers need to be clued in on how noisy the nasalaire exhaust really is. There's no reason they can't incorporate an exhaust port that is directed away from the users face and is either washable or disposable. I've used some short surgical tube to improve mine but it's still no substitute for a properly designed apparatus. Maybe those of us who use nasalaire should fire off a few words to the company. Then again, maybe it's just some planned obsolescence scheme so they can sell us "improvements".
