I'm measuring the sizing templates for the ResMed Mirage Activa cushions (in cm.), so you can see how much of a difference there is:

Standard: 4.7H, 4.3W
Large: 5H, 4.6W
Shallow: 4.3H, 5W

The Ultra Mirage has the same sizes, and in addition Shallow Wide: 4.3H, 5.3W

These are the measurements for the inside of the cushion. Keep in mind that if you try to get a smaller cushion to fit better, it may squeeze your nose too much.

ResMed also makes an older mask, called the Vista, that might suit you better. The cushion is not as large from bridge of nose to mouth...
I'm looking at a standard size of the Activa and a standard in the Vista, and I'd say the Vista is about 1.5 cm less, so it might not fall over your mouth. It also has different headgear than the other two, and it may be more adjustable for you. It sort of makes an "X" in back of the head, and there are adjustments at each of the four points of the X.
