I can't believe that this hasn't been done yet. Humidity control with feedback is very simple with today's technology.
Personally, I run my humidifier through it's entire range (empty to full heat) and there is a narrow band between my tissues drying and rainout. I am guessing that it is somewhere between 50% and 95% RH. Guessing at 4 levels of heat works more than half of the time.
More frustrating is tht I deal with these controls frequently professionally, but I am not "FDA certified" to have access to the schematics for my unit so that I can install one myself. (These controls are commercially available - no new design would be needed)
