I've read that too high a pressure may induce central apneas. I don't think pressure controlled by SPO2 solely would safely avoid increasing central apneas. It would be interesting if not beneficial to plot SPO2 against a time line and pressure determined by the current low exhalation volume algorythm for APAP. It might also be useful in telling the APAP to try a lower pressure.
