Simple CPAPs can be dried out by simply draining any water and running them on empty for several minutes. However, sometimes the fancier CPAPs will not run on empty, because they monitor breathing, etc. They may even sense distress when trying to dry out the hoses.

While some patients may not feel it's important to dry out the parts, it certainly is important to dry the parts before packing the CPAP for traveling~
