Freestanding usually can get the higher of the payouts. Because thay are able to either be a provider of Medicare or not. If not they can usually write their own ticket and argue with the ins co's. However there are some draw backs to this as ins co's ask you to be a provider and if not they will pay lower. It really will depend if your billing dept is tough enough with the ins co's. Hospital billing are usually wimps at it. Good Luck. CPT code for PSG is 95810 and CPAP I think is 95811
