This and the next posting should not be on this professionals only site but on the public forum, but here goes. You may be microaspirating, have an allergic drainage, or merely have an anxiety spell. You should start with seeing a good ENT or Pulmonologist for evaluation and perhaps a sleep evaluation. It is frightening and I hope you soon get an answer. JPH
