This is classical for Narcolepsy but can occur occasionally for sleep deprived patients. It is sometimes the basis for the nightmare scenerio. Adequate treatment of the Narcolepsy may help. It would be interesting to see if the new GBH would help it. At least let the patient understand and tolerate the phenomonem.
