How does a sleep study on a pt with a trach get done?
I am confused when the doctors orders read a 2hr baseline with trach open, followed by the rest of the study with the trach closed.
Would you deflate and inflated tube and how would you do it with it closed?
I believe this is to see if the trach can be removed.
If you had anything on the how do a sleep study with a trach pt I would appreciate it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jill
