I have an 18 yr old female patient(5'2" 120 lbs)who cannot wake up in the morning. She cannot hear her alarm clock despite efforts to maximixe the volume and set several clocks. She awakens when her family physically shakes her awake and this is done quite easily. She rarely falls back to sleep.
She is healthy and active in sports and does well at school. She has no daytime sleep attacks. She suffers from migraines with her periods but uses Motrin. She takes NO medication and has no significant past history. The family history is negative.
