Sleep is a vital need just as eating, drinking, and going to the bathroom. Stop one completely and you are in serious trouble. You should be as careful about sleep as what you eat, etc. Sandman says avoid seeing how long you can remain awake to see what happens, it could have disastrous effects on many different levels. In particular, memory becomes impaired and there goes the finals, also 90% of people who fall asleep at the wheel while driving die. So the bottom line is to avoid dancing with Mr.D and have a safe holiday. The best thing to do is the experiment of getting as much sleep as you possibly can and see what happens. Sandman
