Panic attaks

Posted by Maria on December 10, 1997 at 03:42:24:

I am 29 and I have been suffering from different sleeping disorders in different phases of my life.
I can still remember vividly some of the nightmares I used to have when I was a child. During puberty I was a sleep-walker, after I began talking at night. During the last five years I haven't been talking anymore, but suffer periodically from panic attaks after I wake up confused at night not recognizing my room, not knowing if I am still dreaming or not, with my heart beating very fast, sweating and also having the feeling of adrenalyne running in the upper part of my body.
Also, during the day if have to face a particularly stressfull situation I begin feeling so sleepy that I can barely keep my eyes open.
I have recently moved to America from Europe and I guess changing of life and time zone is aggravating my problems. It is getting worse.
Can anybody help me?
