Yes, this is normal if you are in a stressful time. It should naturally pass as you deal with the stress and become adjusted to you new, (unattached) reality. Two to three weeks of disturbed sleep after a stressful life event like the breakup of a relationship is normal. Try not to obsess about the dreams, and try not to develop bad sleep habits during this period. Bad sleep habits developed during short term disturbed sleep can easily turn into long term insomnia, which hangs around even after you have adjusted to the stress.
