But like your friends' child, she is healthy, happy and active.

Maybe she just doesn't *need* to take a nap in the afternoon, much less at a regular time. Let her find her own rhythm. If necessary, keep her busy in the late afternoon so she doesn't doze off, and let her go to bed in the evening.

Some kids simply have such a zest for life that they don't want to go to sleep for fear of missing any of it.

Meanwhile, you might want to babysit once in awhile so the PARENTS can grab a nap!
