I don't have any helpful advice to offer, but thought I'd let you know I'm in the same boat (actually am awaiting a humidifier to try next).

Kind of disappointing after my first few successful nights on the machine!

I chalk much of it up to winter. Maybe I'll have better luck in the springtime--just in time for pollen!
