By limiting your definition of help to "leaving with a PHYSICAL diagnosis" you are greatly limiting your chances of finding help.
Most long term insomnia (though certainly not all) is a result of some long ago short term insomnia, that somehow turned into long term through the coping strategies (or lack thereof) used at the time. This phenomenon is known as "psychophysiological insomnia" and DOES NOT mean it's all in your head. Just that you need to be willing to look into the psychological aspects as well as the physical to fix it.
