It would be useful to know more about you, and what kind of sleep study you had done. A sedentary lifestyle, poor sleep hygiene, and or obesity, can really mess up your sleep health. Consult with a physician who specializes in sleep medicine. Meanwhile, continue to explore for answers.
If you are male, over 45, and overweight; and particularly if you have a history of heavy snoring, you are in a demographic group which has a high incidence of obstructive sleep apnea (Osa). A diagnosis of OSA can be confirmed by a full polysomnography baseline study. If narcolepsy is suspected, a multiple sleep latency test (MSLT)is indicated. Check it out. A second opinion may be adviseable.
