Hi Bessmarie,
This could be classic hypersomnolence resulting from disturbed sleep. You can evaluate this further yourself by taking one of the self-tests offered in the Sleepnet menu. If you are overweight, or have a history of snoring, you are at risk of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Many sufferers of OSA may suffer frequent arousals during sleep which may rarely awaken fully, but nevertheless destroy restful restorative sleep. OSA is very common, and treatments for it are effective and covered by health insurance. I recommend that you continue your Net searching, there's a lot of good info, and, as this difficulty has become an intrusion into your quality of life, that you consult with a physician who specializes in sleep medicine.
Best of luck, and Happy New Year!
