Postoperative Complications with Tracheostomy

Posted by Mike Teri on January 01, 1998 at 10:16:11:

My friend would have a trache for treatment of her UARS since 2 years on a CPAP have provided poor results. She has had UPPP and jaw surgery but both have failed. She would like to know if anyone has had a trache and what your results have been. Also, how difficult is it to get a trache done by a doctor since she has been seeing a doctor at an out of state research school. Research indicated central sleep apnea can develop. Thanks a bunch !
