Narcolepsy victim

Posted by Ramil on January 06, 1998 at 00:36:03:

It's my first time to know the existence of such sleep disorder and i guess i suffer the disorder but in a minor degree. I experience sleep paralysis a lot from my early teens up to present (the last was 2 mos ago & I'm 26). I also suffer from excessive sleepiness . One thing I find funny is that when I am all by myself in my room, I can't fall asleep easily because I entertain myself with interesting thoughts. But when I start going out or talking with somebody, I suddenly feel the urge to sleep. I also feel very sleepy during meetings or seminars where I don't play an active role. Sometimes doing exercise doesn't help at all. It affects my work performance a lot. But the good news is that I can still manage to keep myself awake but I lose my concentration and patience a lot. Could someone help me out with this before it becomes worse?
