Sleep interval is age dependent, and varies with individuals within age norms, generally shortening progressively. Circadian cycles also, so it matters how old you are, and whether the intended length of sleep exceeds your sleep requirement.
If sleep is disturbed, and wakefulness is premature, the resulting sleep defecit will manifest itself in symptoms such as excessive daytime sleepiness, morning headaches, personality changes, memory loss or loss of mental acuity, to name a few.
If you are not sleeping as long as you used to, then, it may be that you are older. But if you are getting less sleep than you need even when you have enough time, you would be well advised to check with a physician who can arrange for proper diagnostic work. In the meantime there are good self-tests elswhere in Sleepnet which will help you inform yourself on this question.
