I had my UPPP surgery yesterday Jan 5th. But I must say that before I had the surgery done, I went to a medical Hypnotherapist (for the first time) and received some post hypnotic suggestions that I feel really is helping me through this. She helped me reduce the swelling, bleeding and overall stress with the surgery.

I do have a sore throat, but with the pain medication and just following the orders to drink as much as I can handle to keep the area moist is a help. My tongue did not get numb, but my lips are a little dry. My jawbones are very sore and I did get a nasty headache in the hospital but the medication took care of it. All in all, I think I've had a pretty good experience for being as nervous as I was at first. I'll follow the doc's orders and keep listening to my hypnosis tape and I shoud be ok.

I am HUNGRY!!! Ice cream, chicken broth, Jello, and water don't make it. I can't wait for a nice jucy steak. But again, maybe I'll loose some extra lb's.

Sue
