I have sleep apnea and Im in the process of having corrective action taken, Ive tried cpap and cant use it. I really dont know what the next step is maybe surgery . If I were you, I would tell the doctor and Hospital to go fly a kite and find another specialist and hospital that will work with you on this. Sounds like this doctor has an ego problem, not to bad mouth professionals, but some of them do have very big heads. There are plenty of specialists out there who knows the dangers of sleep apnea. If you live near St. Louis, Mo I could give you names. Good Luck.
