Nasal Pillows - what do they look like?

Posted by Michael on January 06, 1998 at 20:31:29:

Some time ago I posted a message describing the success I have had using CPAP nasal pillows instead of a traditional mask. Since then I've had a number of queries from readers asking for more information on nasal pillows. The ones I use are supplied by Nellcor Puritan Bennett and they attach via some plastic devices to a standard CPAP machine's air hose. In addition to the nasal pillows and plastic pieces, you also need new headgear designed to be used with the nasal pillows.

I've taken the time to scan some illustrative pictures into JPEG files and I would be happy to send them to anyone who would like to see what nasal pillows and the related headgear look like.

One caveat -- there are 4 files, each about 250K, so you'll be receiving about 1MB of data that you'll need to download. Please don't ask for a copy if you don't need it, since the email will only clog your site and mine and the Internet in between.
